Garden Week 2024
Join us on Friday, April 26th, 2024 from 10am to 4pm for Garden Week as we proudly serve as the headquarters for the Essex County Tours. The Middle Peninsula's tour showcases Tappahannock and the northern part of Essex County, rich in history and lying along the scenic Rappahannock River. Tour highlights include four private homes and the historic Essex Inn. Don't forget to pre-purchase boxed lunches from 1710 Tavern, the oldest Tavern in Virginia. We can't wait to welcome you!

Pre-order Togo Boxes
We will have boxed lunches available for this event. Boxed lunches will be $20, ordered online, and paid ahead of time. The boxed lunch includes your choice of a club croissant, chicken salad croissant, or green salad with grilled chicken, as well as a bottle of water, pasta salad, and a cookie. This selection is subject to change, however you will be aware of choices upon ordering. Ordering will begin on April 14th!
1710 Tavern
Join us for a delightful experience during the Middle Peninsula Garden Week! Our restaurant will be the headquarters for the event, and we will also be open for regular lunch service with our full menu available. You can pick up your Garden Week tickets and boxed lunches on the right side of our dining room, while regular dining will be available on the left side of our dining room, in the bar area, and on our patio. Don't miss out on all the fun!
